We’re all about making it easy—ceremonies are on the house! 🎉 Keep the party going with music until 11 pm (yep, gotta respect those town rules) and wrap up your event on time, but don’t worry—we’ve got after-party options in Hudson or Rhinebeck! 🌃 Bars stay open ‘til 3 am, and food’s served ‘til 1 am, so you can keep the energy high. 🍕🍸 Bonus: Get rehearsal time the day before AND clean-up time the morning after. More time to make it perfect, less stress on the big day. ✨ We don’t do catering, but no sweat—we’ve got a lineup of awesome vendors we recommend. Plus, we require a wedding coordinator (because organization = peace of mind) and wedding insurance to keep things covered. ✅ Let’s make your event one for the books! 📖

Total Privacy with Drop Dead Panoramic Views of the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains
This space features our Traditional Ceremony site centered on Round Top Mountain of the Catskills and overlooking the Hudson River. Our new Riverside Tent site and Promenade which can accommodate the largest of weddings under a tent . Our Namesake mansion, Northwood, whose porch and surrounding lawn can be used for a cocktail reception and our one acre lake which can serve as a backdrop to a shaded ceremony if you wish.

Beautiful setting, incredible team
Working with Jack and Ripley feels like you're part of a community. From the moment we booked A Private Estate or our wedding, the team was incredibly communicative, responsive, and kind. They went above and beyond to ensure our special day was seamless, even when the weather wasn't cooperating. Our dream was to have the ceremony outside facing the river. To our dismay, the morning forecast showed severe weather in the area. Jack went above and beyond with our rain plan, including stringing his own beautiful lights in the tent to create a warm and inviting ambiance when we realized we had forgotten to order them. Miraculously, the skies cleared just before the ceremony. Jack's team sprung into action to move everything from inside to outside and set it all up again in record time so that we could have the celebration outside of the tent as originally planned. We continue to hear stories from our guests about their kindness, even months after our wedding. Jack helped fix someone's shoe, made accessibility arrangements for guests that made them feel cared for, and showed our Dads around the historic barn the night before the wedding. Jack's attentive service and the team's seamless execution truly made us feel supported and taken care of every step of the way. We are so grateful to A Private Estate for helping to make our wedding day so special. Would definitely recommend!

The perfect venue!
A Private Estate has everything. Stunning Hudson River views, majestic house background, a beautiful barn and outdoor spot with bathrooms, electricity and a kitchen for the caterer! Secluded and elegant it is run beautifully by Jack and Ripley. This is the classic Hudson Valley wedding experience whether you’re a summer or Fall bride.

Great space for a wedding!!
A Private Estate Events LLC was a dream to work with for my wedding clients. Their communication style was constant, detail oriented and easy, which made the planning process smooth and stress-free. The event space they provided was absolutely beautiful and created a memorable experience for my couple’s guests. The guests will never forget the special touches and the atmosphere. June 2024 wedding -- Great experience!
A Private Estate was a beautiful venue for our June 2024 wedding. We did the ceremony on the front lawn, and our reception was tented near the stone promenade. We were blessed with terrific weather, and it made it even more perfect. The view is incredible, with the Catskills backing the Hudson River. We stayed in the carriage house one of the nights (relatives stayed there the rest of the weekend), and it was a nice rental with good space. We appreciated that Ripley gave us a tour and then offered to give the mother of the bride one a few weeks later because she was unable to come when we went. Ripley answers questions quickly and made sure the property was pristine for our weekend. Massive, massive shoutout to property manager Jack – he was incredible and works his butt off. As for the area, there isn’t too much in the immediate vicinity, but Hudson NY is only 10-15 minutes away. Highly recommend looking into that town if you choose this venue, we loved the combo. A Private Estate is pricey, but it’s an incredible venue location, and we were extremely happy with everything. You cannot beat the Hudson River backdrop here.

A Private Estate: Above and beyond in every way
We were so lucky to celebrate our wedding at A Private Estate, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. When we were searching for a venue, we visited A Private Estate in the depth of winter during a snowstorm, but even then, we immediately knew it was the perfect place for us. Ripley, the owner, was friendly and direct, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making sure people had an amazing experience. The property was beautifully maintained, and the convenience of having the Carriage House accommodation along with the barn for the reception made it a much better value than most other venues we considered. We chose to have our ceremony outside, overlooking the Hudson River, which created a breathtaking and peaceful setting for our vows. The manor house made for a stunning backdrop for our family photos, adding a touch of elegance to the day. We held our reception in the barn, which we highly recommend to other couples. The rustic charm of the space, combined with the elegance of the estate, created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Our mid-August wedding was made even more memorable by the beauty and ambiance of the setting. The property manager, Jack, went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Not only did he assist us with practical matters, like putting up blinds in the Carriage House to help our family members' kids sleep, but he also saved the day when a special bottle of wine we had intended to keep was accidentally thrown out by the caterers. Jack took it upon himself to dig it up and return it to us—an act of kindness we won’t forget. We are incredibly grateful for the hospitality and attention to detail from both Jack and Ripley. If you're looking for a venue that combines beauty with exceptional service, we wholeheartedly recommend A Private Estate.
