Hey It's Amalia & Jenna! 🌈 A wife and wife duo who as real life partners bring that same level of trust, teamwork, and care into every wedding we’re part of. With backgrounds in hospitality, design, and event planning, we work side by side to create celebrations that feel organized, thoughtful, and beautifully put together! Our name comes from the butterfly effect the idea that small, intentional moments can turn into something truly special. We’re big believers that it’s the little details, thoughtful choices, and behind the scenes care that end up making the biggest difference on your wedding day, and that mindset guides everything we do!
What sets us apart is our unique partnership. As a married couple, we’re both on site for every wedding giving you two experienced coordinators for one flat rate with no added fees. That means more support, more attention to detail, and a smoother, calmer wedding day. For those who choose our planning packages, we’re hands on throughout the process from vendor recommendations, design guidance, timelines, logistics, and all the little details in between. We believe love is love and we’re proud to create inclusive, welcoming celebrations where everyone feels supported and celebrated.

Calm, Care, & Magic
This is a belated, but well-deserved review for Jenna and Amalia at The Butterfly Effect. We used their services as Day-of Coordinators at XIX in November, and while the venue provided its own coordinator, our wedding—and the entire planning process—would not have been the same without them. These ladies are kind, organized, and provided invaluable support. In the months leading up to the wedding, they helped keep me on track and made the planning feel far less overwhelming. They were especially helpful acting as liaisons between us and the venue/venue coordinator. Several things we were initially told “no” about were ultimately facilitated thanks to Amalia and Jenna. Their willingness to advocate for us and find solutions made such a difference. Their support always felt unlimited. I especially loved our Zoom sessions where we could talk through details, brainstorm ideas, and work through any questions. Their experience helped provide perspective when we were planning. On the day of the wedding, they arrived early and immediately got to work ensuring everyone was set up and had what they needed. I truly appreciated their attention to detail and the way they handled anything that came up throughout the day. If I could change anything, it would only be that I wish we had asked them to stay a little longer into the evening—but the few late-night hiccups we experienced were unexpected and ultimately venue-related. The moment I appreciated them most was right before it was time for me to walk down the aisle. Not only did their mini-fan absolutely save me, but their calm presence and kind words made such a difference in that emotional moment. Anyone would be lucky to have The Butterfly Effect bring a touch of magic to their wedding day.

Highly Recommended
We cannot recommend The Butterfly Effect Weddings enough. Amalia and Jenna were incredible throughout the entire planning process, but they really shined on the day of our wedding. They stayed calm, kept everything organized, and anticipated issues before we even had a chance to stress about them. That made it possible for us to actually enjoy the day without stress. One moment that really stands out is our ceremony. We were unsure how it should play out, but they stepped in with confidence and made everything run smoothly. It was such a relief to have them guiding us through it. As a queer couple, it was especially meaningful to work with coordinators who are a queer couple themselves and truly understand the unique challenges that come with planning a queer wedding. For example, it felt very reassuring to be able to make untraditional choices that felt right for us without worrying about judgment or misunderstanding. Representation matters, and they made us feel seen and supported the entire time. We would absolutely recommend Amalia and Jenna to other LGBTQ couples, and to anyone looking for coordinators who are truly professional and reliable.

Cannot say enough good things!!
If you’re thinking about a day of coordination team and you’re unsure or think you can do it all yourself, take my advice and DON’T WAIT to hire The Butterfly Effect Weddings as your team. You will not regret it!! When we first began planning our wedding, hiring a day of coordinator never crossed our minds. As we started to get closer to the big day, we quickly realized that was a mistake and panic began to set in. I frantically searched the Brides of the Hudson Valley Facebook page and googled some of the names that popped up and one of the first I came across was The Butterfly Effect Weddings. The name resonated with me first because it is indicative of serendipity and comforted me to think that maybe I wasn’t too late to hire someone, maybe I was doing it exactly when I was supposed to. Then as I started reading about Amalia and Jenna, for reasons I can’t explain, I felt an instant connection and immediately reached out. I was sad to get an out of office response as they were on a very well deserved holiday for the end of December but to my surprise within a few hours, I received a personal response from Jenna saying that they’d like to set up a call. From there, the deal was sealed. During our first conversation I felt like I could tell them anything and that I’d known them my whole life. The level of ease and comfort they provided during one of the most stressful times was overwhelming in the best way. They took calls with me at crazy times during their trip to the Philippines and made me feel like I was their only priority while they were also visiting family. Not only did I have faith in their ability to execute on the day efficiently, but given their background in interior design I also had complete faith that every detail would be considered and executed with intention. Fast forward to the day of our wedding - the day simply wouldn’t have gone as smoothly nor look as amazing if it weren’t for Amalia and Jenna and their abilities. My new husband, my mom, MiL, Bridal Party, everyone were completely impressed with them and knew they could go to them for anything during the day/ night. They made sure that every item we ordered for our wedding was collected and brought back to our room and not a single thing was missed. They even made sure to get the Christmas tree backdrop we were planning on set up when we forgot. I cannot thank Amalia and Jenna enough for all they did to ensure every vision we had came to life and I cannot wait to continue building on a friendship with them.
