Working with Shaded Spruce Events was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Their communication style was prompt, casual, and fun, which put us at ease throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work was exceptional - they were accurate, detailed, and innovative in their approach, ensuring that every aspect of our special day was perfectly executed. Shaded Spruce Events was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. McKayla and the team at Shaded Spruce Events were an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. We decided to go with the day of coordinator package and it was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process! From our first meeting, it was clear that McKayla is extremely organized, thoughtful, and detail-oriented. She always responded promptly to emails and phone calls, answering every question we had along the way. On the wedding day itself, McKayla coordinated everything flawlessly, allowing my mom and I to truly enjoy the day stress-free. She personally handled all vendor communications and set-up of decorations so we didn't have to worry about a thing. Her personable yet professional demeanor put us at ease through the entire planning process. She even stayed until the end of the night and had everything packed up and ready to go for us. Wonderful Wedding Planners!
Working with Shaded Spruce Events was an absolute joy! As a younger bride, I was initially unsure about hiring a wedding planner, but I’m so glad I did. Their expertise was vital in ensuring our day went off without a hitch. From managing the timeline to handling setup and offering emotional support through unexpected weather changes, Shaded Spruce Events helped us create the perfect brunch wedding. I had SSE & their Pine Wedding Management package but I wish I would’ve hired them for more. I am a professional photographer and worked with them as a vendor first and KNEW I had to have them on my side when I got married!! Their professionalism and organization is top tier. The SSE team was incredible with contact before and on my wedding, planning, organizing, setting up, and running the whole thing. They have helpful tips and recommendations on anything your wedding day may need and will help with it all. They made my brunch wedding day come true, kept everything on time while also being kind, professional, and FUN with all our guests and family! They were there from start to finish with smiles on their faces. I recommend this team to any bride & groom with full confidence every time!

We service the Twin Cities and surrounding area but we’ll go wherever you’ll go! Please note that mileage and hotel accommodations fees may apply and vary depending on the logistics of your wedding/event.

After your free consultation, if you would like to book our services simply let us know! In order to move forward with our services, we require a signed contract (sent electronically via Rock, Paper, Coin), as well as a 50% deposit to secure your wedding date. The remaining balance is due thirty days prior to your wedding date. We accept check and credit card payments.

A venue coordinator focuses on the activities that pertain to the venue only and will manage the staff under the venue. We are Event Planners & Coordinators. Which means we are responsible for your event prior to, during, and even after. From the moment you hire us to the day of the event, we ensure a seamless, creative, and highly engaged collaboration between our team and you to bring your event to life.

Nope! We believe you should get to chat with us and see if we’re a right fit prior to hiring us. Contact us on our contact page to set up a call. We can set up a video call if you prefer that to a phone call.

As soon as possible! The best part about having us engaged early is that we are able to coach you through key decisions from the start.

Absolutely. We love planning and designing events outside of weddings! Though we only take on a select number of events each year, we enjoy expressing our creativity and planning corporate events, non-profit galas, milestone birthdays, baby showers and more.

Yes, there are some things that for liability reasons or for safety reasons we cannot do. These include: Heavy lifting like the setting up of tables and chairs (typically the venue handles this anyways). We cannot utilize ladders (setting up draping, string lights, floral installations, etc.) We cannot transport any personal items, cards/gifts, or rental items. These should already be onsite when we arrive. We can absolutely recommend some amazing vendors to help with these items if needed!
