When we began working together, I was genuinely excited to support you both. As you shared in your review, a serious and unforeseen family emergency arose shortly after our contract began. While I communicated that I was navigating a difficult season and worked to continue supporting you, I can absolutely acknowledge that my capacity during that time did not meet the standard of service I hold myself to. For that, I sincerely apologize. It is also important to clarify, respectfully, that many of the vendors you secured were already established through family and personal connections prior to or outside of my sourcing process. I always support my couples’ existing relationships and step in where needed, but I understand how, from your perspective, it may have felt unbalanced. Regarding communication — you are right. During that period, it was not as consistent or proactive as it should have been. Emergencies do not erase the responsibility of running a business well, and I take ownership of that. As for the refund, it was calculated based on hours already worked, documented meetings, vendor outreach, and administrative tasks completed prior to termination. I understand that emotions were high at that point, and I’m sorry the process felt frustrating. It was never my intention to add stress during an already stressful season. I truly wish the circumstances had been different. If I had known the depth and duration of the emergency when it first began, I would have made a different decision about continuing services. Our role began in the final weeks leading up to your wedding to organize logistics, confirm vendors, create timelines, and execute the event day. Full vendor sourcing, design mockups, and comprehensive planning services were not included within your selected package. That said, I understand that during the final weeks communication felt inconsistent. As previously shared, I experienced an unexpected personal emergency during that season. While I ensured my team was prepared with timelines, vendor contacts, and event documentation so your wedding day ran smoothly, I acknowledge that my personal availability was not what you had hoped for. For that, I sincerely apologize. Regarding vendor suggestions: when couples request recommendations, I provide options based on past industry knowledge and reputation. Final contracts and rental requirements are always confirmed directly between the couple and vendor. I’m sorry that the tent and rental situation resulted in frustration — that was certainly never my intention. As for the layout, during our walkthrough I provided verbal suggestions and guidance based on the venue space, but formal design renderings are part of a higher-tier planning service. I apologize if there was confusion surrounding that expectation. It’s important to me that couples feel heard. When you reached out after the wedding, my intention was not to dismiss your experience, but to explain the scope of services provided and the work completed under our agreement. I regret if my tone did not come across that way. I am grateful that your wedding day itself was successfully executed and that my team helped ensure it ran smoothly.
