We are Richard + Amanda! A husband + wife photography duo who've been shooting weddings together since 2012. We are visual storytellers + passionate about documenting love in all it's forms. Available in Michigan & beyond.

We often hear from our couples that they enjoy our calm presence & how laid back we are! We try to capture your day as it unfolds naturally without interfering unless we know it will make a killer photo.

She is a gem!

Seriously, the best.
Amanda did both our engagement photos and our wedding photos and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. She made us feel like old friends making the whole process easy and enjoyable. On our wedding day she really captured not just beautiful photos, but was able to captured the small details that made the day uniquely ours. I truly can't recommend Root and Arrow enough and look forward to using them in the future.

Moody Style & Amazing Duo
Amanda and Richard shot our engagement photos and our wedding photos x2! The pandemic was so hard but they made rescheduling and then changing our minds and having two weddings so easy! They are awesome to work with and make your nerves go away while being photographed. They are also down for anything, including trudging through 3 feet deep snow in December to get winter wonderland photos. The product you have to cherish at the end are like none other. I love Amanda’s moody and real style that perfectly captures the moment. Would highly highly recommend.
