Hi, I am Melanie Cooper. I am an intimate wedding and adventure elopement photographer based in Richmond, Virginia. I love everything about this amazing city. But most of all I love the people. Being a photographer has given me the opportunity to meet so many people in the area. Hopefully that will include you!

Melanie Is Incredible – Highly Recommend!

Love Melanie
Would choose Melanie again and again. I actively recommend her to friends and acquaintances who say they’re engaged. She is super friendly, upbeat and good at her job. She blends in well and there are pictures that I don’t even remember her being there for. We had our photo shoot time, our candid time and I feel like she allowed the day to run how we wanted it to while also getting all the pictures we wanted.

Deserves more than 5 stars!!!!
From day 1, Melanie made myself and my husband feel SO comfortable. We had already worked with her in a friends wedding, and knew she was the perfect photographer for us. Starting with the engagement pictures, our dogs were not the best behaved during pictures and she kept us SO calm and handled everything with ease. She also made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera. The wedding day, she was such a joy to be with! I love every single picture she’s taken for us, and she did such an amazing job catching every special moment during our day. It was so fun looking through the pictures and seeing the little details and such we missed. We know Melanie is our lifelong photographer and we are so exicted to have found her!!!! Hire Melanie if you want to work with the most fun, stress free, and most importantly EXTREMELY TALENTED photographer!!!

Melanie is the best!!!
Melanie is not only an incredible photographer but also exactly the kind of person you want to have around on your wedding day. She is super “go with the flow” and embraced every photo idea we threw her way on the day of our wedding. She’s always smiling and you can tell she genuinely enjoys the art of capturing special moments. My husband and I got married this past weekend - so far, we’ve only seen the sneak peek (which to our surprise she sent us before midnight on the day of the wedding), and we are absolutely obsessed with how well she captured such special moments and the quality of the photos. We had so much fun hanging out with Melanie on our wedding day, and we are already so impressed with her photography skills. I know who we will be reaching out to for future photography needs as we start this next chapter of our lives.

PHOTOGRAPHER OF YOUR DREAMS
Amazing! Professional! Talented! Photographer of your dreams!! Genuine, kind, and thoughtful! These are just a few ways that I would describe Melanie Cooper! My wife and I were fortunate enough to have had our photographs taken by Melanie 3 times over the last year; for our engagement, save the date, and our wedding. And we plan to hire her for any and all future photography needs!! Every time she photographs us, I am blown away by her photographs! Her photographs are absolutely STUNNING!! She is a delight to work with from the planning of location, day of photographing, and timeliness of getting the finished photographs to you! Planning: she is willing to answer any questions that you have as well as provide tips and ideas Day of photography: excited to photograph you, perfect amount of energy, you and your whole group’s hype person, open to your visions, and provides ideas of shots that you didn’t think of Timeliness: she gets a “sneak peak” to you so quick (all of ours were within a few hours) and final photos are also quicker than I expected! She takes the time to pick the best photos and edits them beautifully! They are not overly edited by any means, and have I mentioned, that they are STUNNING! she goes above and beyond, for example, she even took the time to edit realistic water into the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in the background of some of our photos because it was empty on the day we took pictures. All of our friends and family always mention how beautiful our photographs taken by Melanie are! Melanie truly captures your beauty, happiness, and love in her photographs and I can’t recommend her enough!!
