Connection is what drives my work. Real moments surface quietly, when people feel comfortable and seen. It's in those in-between spaces where the emotional truth of a day actually lives. I photograph people the way I see them, with patience and a curiosity for what makes them unique. I'm Daniela Garza Maldonado, a New York City–based wedding and portrait photographer with over 15 years of experience. Originally from Mexico, inspired by the masters of painting and cinema, and trained at the International Center of Photography, I bring an editorial artistic eye and a documentary approach to every celebration I photograph.

My work is documentary at its core, with an editorial and fine art sensibility. I approach every couple and every wedding as its own story. I adapt to who you are and how you move through the world, working with natural light and a minimal footprint to create a relaxed, unforced environment. The result is imagery that feels both beautiful and true.
