Hi there, I'm Cara! I am based in south central Wisconsin and serve Wisconsin, the midwest, and beyond. I started Cara Ann Photography to capture love stories in their truest form, and with true to color timeless editing your whole story comes to life.

Being a professional third-wheel allows me to never miss a beat and I have every goal to become your friend in the process of planing and executing your special day! I will be there for you through the process of finalizing your other vendors, nailing down your timeline and choosing the florals to best fit your day. It's not every week that you plan a wedding, but I help plan them on a daily basis, so why not take advantage of a little help?! All of my wedding packages include an engagement session, with the option to add-on wall art or custom printed albums.

Book with Cara!!!!
Cara did our engagement and wedding photos and was AMAZING from start to finish!! She was so easy going and was so helpful with literally everything from helping us pick out outfits for our engagement pictures, to laying out a timeline for the day of the wedding. She’s more than just a photographer. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly on your wedding day. Highly recommend Cara Ann Photography!!!

When I first booked Cara, I was planning an entirely different wedding. We decided to switch our big local wedding to a small destination wedding kind of last minute and I was nervous that it wouldn’t work with Cara’s schedule. However, Cara was able to make it work in her schedule and I couldn’t of been any happier! Cara helped me so much with the little details that you don’t always think of when planning a wedding. She assisted with the timeline and even scouted areas through the smoky mountains for beautiful scenery for our photos. (She found the BEST spots!!!) Cara is personable and professional. She made us feel so at ease during our photos. I seriously can’t recommend Cara enough!

Cara is wonderful to work with, and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. Cara is great at making people feel comfortable in front of the camera and always has great photos as a result. Brings your day to life in pictures!!
We were Cara's first wedding! She agreed to shoot our wedding on short notice due to a sickness with our original photographer. She and her second shooter did a fantastic job! Cara was so easy to feel comfortable with, even for my husband who is usually camera shy! She captured our day beautifully!! Not only photographs the big moments, but the small in between ones also! If you want your day brought to life in photos, Cara is your gal! She will be professional, fun, full of joy, cry with you, your biggest cheerleader and probably a friend at the end! Even our guests said they loved her! Highly, highly reccomend Cara!!

The search for a perfect photographer is over!
I have worked with Cara for MANY years. She has been nothing but kind, professional, timely, and a great communicator. When it came time to pick someone for my wedding, the choice could not have been more clear. Although I have not celebrated my wedding day yet, my engagement shoot and communication with Cara has been a dream. After booking her for our wedding, she helped us put together a timeline for the day, communicated the different options like first looks, and talk us though what we thought we would need. She was also able to recommend videographers. She has continued to go above and beyond. Since my Fiancé and I are currently located in Ohio, time in WI is very limited. I though this would make our engagement shoot difficult to schedule. That was not the case! Cara helped pick the location and scoped it out beforehand to make sure it was perfect. She made sure to fit us in on a Sunday when we were home at 7AM even though she had a wedding the night before! Less than an hour after the shoot we got 5 sneak peak photos. The full gallery was delivered right about 2-3 weeks later! I can not wait for my wedding day and have Cara Ann Photography capture the day and for Cara to be a teammate of the Scherdin/Curry wedding. I first worked with her in 2019 when she shot my then boyfriend and I's anniversary photos. They were incredible and the experience was so fun. She allowed us to play our own music and just be ourselves. After that experience, my family and I have never used a different photographer. She shot both of my brothers senior portraits and my sibling photos. My Fiancé also coordinated with her to do a surprise proposal shoot. She immediately set up an operation to get me in front of the camera under the disguise of a couples styled shoot. When the day came, we had the worst weather. I mean -40 and blizzard. That did not stop her from coming up with plan after plan to make the shoot work. She ended up driving 30 minutes to my parents house at 6pm on December 23rd to capture the special moment, simply out of the kindness of her heart. It was perfect.
