Hi, I'm Sam! I tell everyone I know that I have the best job in the world - I get to document life moments. I genuinely love being around people, building those connections and letting your images tell your story. Beyond weddings, I also offer family portraits, head shots, milestone sessions, boudoir, senior portraits and more. I love audiobooks, potatoes in all forms (including raw), playing games, peanut butter, ice cream, dogs, and truly just being around people. I love listening to others' stories. I love grandparents.

My clients often say that I provide structure to make their day so much easier than they anticipated, and that they feel naturally comfortable around me. I believe communication is key to your day running smoothly, as well as being available to answer your questions! I don't believe in strangers, just friends I haven't met yet. I love people for who they are, and celebrate the human experience across all of our spectrums - celebrating LGBTQIA+ relationships and representing all people with dignified images that reflect their self-image.

    Ampersand Photography was beyond helpful, timely, consistent and quick in their communication with us throughout the wedding planning process. The quality of their work and the value they provided was amazing - Sam, the photographer, is an incredibly kind and energetic person who puts her heart and soul into capturing every moment. She made it so easy for us to be in front of the camera, gently guiding us through poses while also grabbing so many beautiful candid shots. Sam provided such personal touches to our day and we are thrilled that she was able to capture it all so perfectly. We are over the moon with the results and couldn't recommend Ampersand Photography more highly.

    STELLAR PHOTOGRAPHER, LOOK NO FURTHER!!

    I cannot say enough amazing things about Sam!!! She was there literally every step of the way, willing to work on anything with me!! Day of, Sam made everything go so smoothly!! She was there as a photographer, as extra hands for helping set up, keeping everything on schedule. Sam was literally the best, she helped calm my nerves and the photos!!! SO GORGEOUS!!! She was super fun and was great at offering advice for poses, but also really spontaneous when she saw us just being us and capturing that moment!

    Working with Sam was fantastic!

    Sam at Ampersand Photography was a pleasure to work with. Sam was great at communicating, even giving me the answers to her questionnaire so I could compare it to mine. The final photos were absolutely stunning - I was SO excited to receive the sneak peeks! They helped with following the timeline and made sure to get all the shots the couple wanted.     The only photographer you need

    From the initial consult, to the delivery of our Gallery, Sam was the superhero needed to keep things going smoothly. If you’re looking for a photographer who has skills in getting to know who you really are, making sure your personality is as much in the photos as you are, going above and beyond to help things go smoothly, take care of things you didn’t even know needed to be done, and show up in whatever way helps you while getting the job done: you’ve found her. I could not possibly say enough that would capture how great of an experience it was to work with Sam; the professionalism, care, and attention to details are as equally prevalent in her practice as her positive attitude, genuine helpfulness, and kind spirit.
