Head officiant

A Portland native, and founder of EC Matrimony, Ernie has become an expert in all things weddings. Having recently stepped away from a career in Marketing/Public Relations, Ernie has taken his business from part-time to full-time in 2021 to help more couples realize their wedding dreams. Throughout his 18 years in the industry, and having performed over 3,000 weddings, it’s easy to see why he’s been featured in bridal magazines, national IG posts, and been featured in Huffington Post twice, and on realty TV. Add to that the dozens of national awards he’s won over the years, and you can tell why he’s in demand as a wedding officiant.

Copper

Description

~ For couples looking to either do the legal requirements, or a courthouse type ceremony. ~ Ceremony happens at my office in Beaverton. ~ During the week, witnesses can be provided by my office for an additional fee. ~ Minimal consultation over the phone.

Bronze

Description

~ For elopements in Portland Metro area only. Outside of Portland, subject to availability. ~ This is a very simple, concise ceremony. ~ Couples have input in to style & type of ceremony they would like performed. ~ Minimal consultation over the phone

Silver

Description

~ This is a personalized, unique ceremony created for you! ~ Allows couples to create the ceremony they've always wanted. We will walk through every aspect of the ceremony during our consultation, including ideas that you may not have thought about. ~ Option of having consultation over the phone or in-person (if schedule allows).

Gold

Description

~ This is an all inclusive package specifically designed for weddings on the Oregon Coast, Mount Hood, and The Gorge. This package includes everything in the Silver Package, and the travel fee is included in the price listed.

    The Best Officiant!

    We had such a wonderful experience with Don Gloud as our wedding officiant! From the very beginning, Don was incredibly responsive and organized, which made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. His professionalism and warmth truly stood out. His wife and assistant, Dodie, was equally amazing. She has an incredible eye for detail and made sure everything was perfectly arranged for our special day—even down to coordinating Don’s tie with our wedding colors, which was such a thoughtful touch! Don himself was so kind and genuine, and he performed a ceremony that was deeply meaningful and personal to us. One of my favorite things was his speaking voice—it was calm, engaging, and added such a special touch to the ceremony. We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant team. Highly recommend Don and Dodie to anyone looking to make their wedding day truly unforgettable!

    Ernie is the most amazing.

    Perfection
