Captivating Complexion is a small elite makeup team built up of individual artists that specializes in beauty built around you. While based in Charlottesville our artists are located in Richmond, Lynchburg and Charlottesville - we travel up and down Virginia to bring the best on-site wedding makeup services, and energy, to you. We know you are probably coming from out of town for your wedding so we have conveniently located our gorgeous store front next to the airport and on the north end of Charlottesville. Each "CC" artist is highly trained and more than comfortable with working with all skin tone, skin types, gender, and ages. We pride ourselves in our up to date technique, products in our kits, and staying on top of trends we see while still keeping your makeup timeless. You will see each artist constantly posting to ensure your confidence leading up to your wedding day with latest looks of bridal parties and studio appointments. Made me feel like a bride
Molly was such a dream to work with. She was so kind and patient with all of my bridesmaids and made them look incredible. I have never felt or looked as beautiful as she made me look for my wedding. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone getting married!

Tai was wonderful!!
I feel so incredibly lucky to have gotten to work with Tai for my March 2025 wedding. I had never gotten my makeup professionally done before, and honestly had some nerves going into the process. I knew from pictures that I felt like Tai’s style fit what I was envisioning, and in the first minutes of meeting Tai, I knew I was in good hands. She is such a kind and bubbly person, the trial felt like catching up with an old friend. Seeing myself in the mirror both on the trial and on the wedding day, I felt truly beautiful and confident. I felt like me, but elevated. On top of that, she also helped to cover a scar that I got on my back from an unexpected procedure a month prior to my wedding. I felt so insecure about it, and she was able to cover it with ease. As for the look itself, it lasted all night, through happy tears and a hot dance floor. One of the best wedding vendors out there, would definitely work with her again!!

Meg from Captivating Complexion was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From our very first interaction, her communication was fast, clear, and consistently helpful. Meg, our makeup artist, has a wonderful calming presence and made all of us feel so comfortable and beautiful. She was detail-oriented, adaptable, and truly delivered flawless makeup that lasted through tears, heat, sweat, kissing, smiling, and hours of dancing with only minimal touchups needed. Captivating Complexion's work was worth every penny - they truly helped make our special day perfect.

Tai was wonderful!
I got the pleasure of working with Tai. She is friendly, professional and great with all skin types, colors, ages. I loved working with her and seeing everyone transformed. Quick communication, easy system to message, sign contract, etc. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and Flawless Work
Taylor was absolutely wonderful and did such an amazing job with each and every one of my bridesmaids (and me)! She was so responsive in the lead-up to the wedding, providing guidance on how to prepare our skin for the wedding day and even helped to recommend some places for nails and spray tans! I wasn't able to do a trial but Taylor worked with me on the day of the wedding to make sure I was happy with each step of the make-up before moving on to the next step and continuously offered to re-do anything I wasn't happy with (I was so pleased with all of it!). She worked with each one of my bridesmaids to fit their asthetic and skin type and everyone looked beautiful! Taylor's personality put me at ease during the make-up session and I enjoyed talking with her while I was sitting in her chair. If you're looking for a make-up artist for your wedding and your bridal party, I would recommend Captivating Complexion and Taylor!
