We have been offering award winning Thai Cuisine since 1983. As the first Thai restaurant in the state, we have been the pioneering force in Thai food creation in Minnesota. We provide full service catering and bar services in the greater Twin Cities area, travelling up to 2 hours in distance. We have private party spaces in our restaurants ideal for rehearsal dinners or micro weddings. We also have a sister event venue called Abrazar. That space holds up to 185 guests.

Offering truly unique Thai meals, not your typical wedding fare. Great option for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. Favorites include Pad Thai, Red Curry, Fresh Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls and Cream Cheese Wontons.

    Winter Wedding Day

    We had a great experience working with Sawatdee for our wedding catering. From the beginning, communication with Cyndy was excellent—she was responsive, organized, and easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. On the day of, her team was incredibly professional and did a beautiful job with the setup. Everything came together smoothly and really reflected the vision we had for our wedding. We took on the buffet style option that Sawatdee provides. Cyndy and her team were more than accommodating. They provided all the necessary things for our big day. Most people went back to the buffet line 2/3 times. It was a hit. We truly appreciated how attentive and helpful they were in bringing everything to life and making sure things ran seamlessly. For the price, it’s hard to beat the level of professionalism and care they provided. Thank you again to Cyndy and the team for helping make our day so special.

    Great buffet option with variety for everyone

    Sawaatdee catered our rehearsal dinner and the menu and experience was a hit! Our guests enjoyed the variety and the freshness of the meal. The staff set up diligently and on time, and the bar line was smooth. Working with Cyndy on party planning was fun- her team was very reasonable to our requests and offered add-ons that were important to us like linens, compostable dinnerware, and a flexible bar plan. We recommend Sawatdee and Cyndy to anyone looking to work with a great local restaurant for their wedding!

    Flavorful and fabulous!

    Everything was amazing! Cyndy let us customize our vegetables and our apps. Most folks went back for a second or third helping. So thankful to have a wedding with amazing, memorable, and delicious food!

    May 2025 Wedding

    Food from Sawatdee Thai was delicious! Our guests enjoyed the snack table during social hour and the dinner buffet. We had mango with sticky rice(ultimate favorite among our guests), beef springrolls, and fruit platter. Dinner was served buffet style along with rice, padthai, red curry, papaya salad and chicken satay. Service was phenomenal, Cyndy and her team arrived on time and did a great job! Everything was handled by her team. Cyndy was super helpful in regards to menu selections too. Her recommendation of chicken in the curry was one of the best choices! Thank you to the team at Sawatdee!
