Magilla's Barbecue is a catering team based in Southern California. We specialize in Central Texas craft barbecue, offering a variety of meats including brisket, pulled pork, pork belly, tri-tip, turkey, chicken, ribs (pork & beef), and hand-crafted sausages. In addition to traditional sides, we also offer Tex-Mex inspired options. Our goal is to create a memorable menu that will last a lifetime with your guests. Barbecue is our passion, and we would love to share it with you!

Magilla prides itself on the ability to create a customized menu for each client. We can create a standard menu for wedding guests yet still create a unique dining experience for the wedding couple. Our services can be tailored to meet each client's vision.

Sample catered weddings

We were inspired by Alex and Starr's desire to provide their guests with an old-fashioned barbecue while having a special feast separate from the guest menu. We asked what they had in mind and they shared they would like a Surf and Turf style dinner. Say no more we said! We had a separate crew serve their guest while we cooked up on site a reverse seared Tomahawk Steak, alongside two gently smoked Colossal Lobster Tails both topped off with our Chimichurri Butter and paired with grilled veggies and buttery soft baby potatoes. Their special meal was carved and served on a customized wood platter that we had made just for them.

    Best caterer !

    Magilla's Barbecue was the perfect caterer for our wedding! From the beginning, their communication was consistent and great - they always responded to my questions quickly. The quality of their work and the value they provided was incredible. The food was absolutely delicious - they made some fun appetizers that I had seen online, and they were a hit with our guests! Jeff and Christine were a delight to work with, and I appreciated how well they communicated and how they were willing to change things when I asked. Our guests loved the food and I would highly recommend booking Magilla's Barbecue for your wedding or event.

    Best BBQ Ever

    Hands down the best vendor we worked with. Everyone has an idea of what they what people to remember about their wedding, ours was the food, and they did not disappoint. We keep getting told that this was the best wedding food people have ever had. They were extremely easy to communicate with and gave us exactly what we wanted. Everything was perfectly executed. Book them, you won’t be sorry.

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

    We hired Magilla’s Barbecue to cater our wedding, and we truly couldn’t have made a better choice. The food was absolutely delicious—so much so that we completely ran out, even after ordering extra! Our guests couldn’t get enough and are still talking about it. The brisket and pulled pork were better than we could have ever imagined—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The sausages were a huge hit too! My husband and my dad can’t stop talking about the pit beans, and I (along with so many of our guests) fell in love with the mac and cheese. Every dish was a knockout. On top of the incredible food, their communication was top-notch from start to finish. Super professional, responsive, and easy to work with, which made the whole planning process so much smoother. While waiting for our wedding day, we were so excited for the food that we kept an eye on their Instagram for their pop-up events—just to get our fix! My personal favorite? The chile relleno sausages. Absolutely to die for. We’re so grateful to Magilla’s Barbecue for helping make our day even more memorable. Highly, highly recommend!

    Superb service, Delicious food

    We used Magillas for our wedding rehearsal dinner. They did not disappoint. The service was great. They had such a beautiful set up. They were very well prepared and had more than enough food to serve out wedding party and some unexpected guests. If you are not sure what to serve Jeff is great with helping you come up with a menu. And the food… very delicious. Can’t wait for a reason to use them again.

    Authentic, delicious, hearty BBQ catering

    I recently had the pleasure of ordering catering for our group of varsity football players, coaches and volunteers from Magillas Ribs, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment the food arrived, I could tell it was going to be something special. The BBQ was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked with that authentic, smoky flavor that’s hard to find. Each bite was packed with rich, tender meat that just melted in your mouth. The portions were generous, so we were able to enjoy leftovers, which is always a bonus! We were thrilled to have something we were so proud of to serve to our hardworking and hungry players and coaches here in La Habra. My husband is super picky about his BBQ, having tried so many authentic bbq places in Texas, and he was thoroughly impressed with the quality and flavor. What really stood out, though, was the service. The team at Magilla's went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They were prompt, professional, and truly cared about delivering a top-notch experience. It was clear that they take great pride in their craft, and it showed in both the food and the presentation. If you’re looking for flavorful, high-quality BBQ with excellent service, look no further than Magilla's. I’ll definitely be ordering again soon!
