Zingerman's Bakehouse
Zingerman’s Bakehouse is an artisanal bakery with a baking school in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We started 30 years ago as a simple bread bakery with a single customer, Zingerman’s Delicatessen. Today we make bread, pastries, cakes, lunch items (and so much more!) that we proudly serve to guests in our bustling shop, our Zingerman’s partner businesses, the southeastern Michigan community and beyond.
We create one-of-a-kind cakes for all your important life events, including showers, weddings, special birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, and more. We pride ourselves on creating cakes that taste as good as they look, because everything, even our fondant, is made from scratch using the best ingredients we can find.

The Most Beautiful and Delicious Wedding Cake!
Our wedding cake was a highly anticipated part of our special day, and the team at Zingerman’s Bakehouse truly exceeded all of our expectations. During our initial consultation, Alyce was extremely helpful in guiding us through the many design options and hand-sketched the most beautiful cake that perfectly captured our wedding style and vision. The tasting box that they put together for us was absolutely delicious, and my husband and I had the best time picking out flavors from their many offerings and recommendations before finally deciding on their vanilla chiffon cake with lemon curd and raspberry buttercream. We really wanted to incorporate fresh floral arrangements on our cake, and the Zingerman’s Bakehouse team worked seamlessly with our florist to coordinate the design and set-up. On the day of our wedding, the cake was stunning and exactly how we envisioned it, and our guests endlessly complimented how absolutely delicious it was. After our wedding, the Bakehouse team also went above and beyond to help us coordinate for a replacement top tier for our anniversary after our hotel mistakenly threw ours away. We really can't thank Zingerman’s Bakehouse enough for their incredible work and for making the entire process easy and stress-free. We highly recommend Zingerman’s Bakehouse to any other couples looking for a beautiful and delicious cake for their big day.

Beautiful & Delicious
Zingerman's Bakehouse was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding cake and desserts. Their communication was quick, easy, and friendly throughout the entire process. Our cake process through Zingerman's was a breeze! Very smooth design process with great attention to detail. And the cakes were BEAUTIFUL in person! We had a lot of great reviews from guests on both flavor of the cakes and the design! We had requested some hidden "easter egg" piping on our cakes and it was so fun to try to pick them out when looking at our cake! Everything was perfect! Highly recommend Zingerman's Bakehouse for any event!

Flexible, easy to work with, & delicious
We worked with Alyce specifically and she did a great job helping us decide on a design. The delivery of the cake was very smooth as well and they were even able to use our decorations (e.g., cake toppers, flowers, etc.) to decorate the cake. Alyce and Zingerman's Bakehouse were also very flexible in being able to change our cake to a gluten-free variety only a couple of weeks before the wedding. Our guests loved the cake as well. Everything came out exactly how we pictured.
