I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Bachelor's degree in Printmaking. After graduation I moved to the Duluth area and after a few months was hired on by the previous owner of How Sweet It Is, Eileen Brown. I worked for her for a year and half and then took over the business as it's new owner in 2019. Little had I known when I first started the passion I would find for the work. Now at 26 I can't imagine having another career. I love the creativity I get to use from the starting process of baking to completing the cake with design. I get to spend my days utilizing my degree in ways I didn't imagine and enhancing my passion cake by cake.

    Amazing Flower Cake

    My wife and I are extremely happy Lila baked our wedding cake for us! She did all the artistry/ piping on the cake as well as arranging the flowers we brought with us from our florist when we picked up the cake. It looked beautiful and tasted incredible! Thank you for your help making our wedding special!

    How Sweet It TRULY Is!

    Lila is one of the bests in the industry. She is so flexible to work with and delivers the best cakes each and every time. She is able to translate your vision flawlessly, and I have never heard one negative thing from any of our couples about her cakes. She is a joy to work with from start to finish each time, and we are lucky she is one of our vendors!
