Andrew interacted great with the crowd and kept the energy going until the night was done! Played all of our requests, no matter how ridiculous they were even if he had to track down the song. Would highly recommend him to make your wedding as special as ours! Played great music for all decades as desired for our range of guests.

A former newspaper photojournalist turned wedding photographer. I love telling people's stories, eating cake, and dancing at your wedding. All while making incredible photos you will pass down to your grandkids.

Awarded Best of Zola
Dan was our wedding photographer for our Florida destination wedding and we are over the moon from all the photos. He captured our personalities and all the good vibes from the weekend. Our sunset couple pictures are stunning! I highly recommended Dan for wedding photography. I have never known a photographer that made everyone so comfortable. Even the groomsmen who usually hate photos were having fun getting their pictures taken. We got the photos around 6 weeks after the wedding which was incredible. We got so many beautiful photos and I still love going through them. He captured the fun vibe throughout the whole day. We got a wedding album as well as some canvas prints with the photos and love seeing them around the house. You will not regret hiring Dan for any of your photography needs.

  • Serves Douds, IA

A unique photography and videography duo that just want to capture your best day ever. Based out of Iowa, Foxtail Films isn't afraid to travel! We have experience from California to Florida and just about everything in between.

From the moment my husband and I got engaged, we knew we wanted to work with Val and Kevin. At the time, we were living in Arizona, so I called Val to ask if she’d be willing to travel there to capture our engagement photos. Without hesitation, she said yes—and she made it happen! Leading up to our wedding day, Val was incredibly easy to communicate with. She even reached out to our DJ to coordinate timelines, which lifted a huge weight off our shoulders. On the wedding day, Val and Kevin made everything run smoothly and efficiently, ensuring we got the perfect photos and video. We couldn’t be happier with how all of our engagement and wedding photos turned out. Our wedding video completely blew us away—it beautifully captured every moment from the start of the day through the reception. Being able to relive our day whenever we want brings back so many emotions and truly makes us feel like we’re there all over again. I’ve cried happy tears every time I’ve watched it. We can’t thank Val and Kevin enough for their amazing work in capturing our most special moments. We will cherish their work forever. We would highly recommend booking them for your big day too!

Venue considerations

  • No dedicated areas for getting ready
  • No built-in audiovisual options

The Continental Hotel is always one of my first recommendations for friends and family visiting Appanoose County, but my main point of this review is to share how great it is for couples getting married in our around Centerville to utilize. We booked a two bedroom suite for our bridal party to get ready in for our November wedding-- we were getting married down the street at The Majestic Theater. The suite was beautifully kept, well stocked and so much bigger than you'd think they would be. There was a time that probably 15 people were in the room and it didn't feel overwhelming or crammed. Our hairstylist & makeup artist also noted that there was great natural light for helping us get ready, something they usually don't see in hotels. Their staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgable and helpful. They also allowed us to order snacks from the restaurant that were delivered right up to our room in more sharing-friendly formats (Ex: smaller croissants for chicken salad sandwiches) Bonus Points: Their gorgeous bar is a great place for groomsmen photos!

Electric Entertainment
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • DJ

A 10 year veteran to the Wedding industry, Electric Entertainment stands out as a premium vendor across the midwest. Our team of professionally trained DJs are here every step of the way from planning to execution to deliver a true experience for your guests. We perform. We entertain. We execute your vision.

Megan and Logan were great to work with in the early stages, and then Ali & Drake took over about a month before! They all were fantastic to work with and I could definitely tell that Ali & Drake were the best match for my wedding. I wasn't sure what to think about booking a company that matches a DJ to your wedding after booking, but they really did take the time to find what music style I liked and which DJ was going to vibe the best. Highly recommend!!!! The entire planning process was so easy with them and the online portal was so simple to use! They truly made my day exceptional!

We are the Webers! We like long walks in the desert, dogs, and tacos. We met in high school, dated for several years, and decided to take it to the next level and got married in October of 2020. Kevin is chill and one of the kindest humans and Val is outgoing and fun. We balance each other well! We have two labs, Onni and Stella. We got into photography and videography by just playing around with cameras. One day we just decided it would be a blast to make a career of it! Kevin loves creating for hunting articles and videos and Val loves weddings and maternity sessions!

WE LOVED WORKING WITH FOXTAIL FILMS! Val and Kevin were professional, knowledgeable, flexible, and fun! They are reasonably priced and both the photos and videos were top quality!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (78 reviews)
  • Florist
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Douds, IA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

The quality of their work and the value they provided was truly outstanding - they were creative, tenacious, and delivered absolutely beautiful floral arrangements. They brought my daughter's vision board to life perfectly, and the flowers were on time and stunning. We booked an anniversary session in Green Bay. The wind was crazy that day, and I was worried my hair would be a mess in every single shot. One or two photos show it kinda flying around, but honestly the rest look like magazine ads. My husband hates photos but even he loves these. Great experience.

My sister’s wedding was one of the most beautiful days of our lives, and they caught it all. I’m so thankful because I was too emotional during the ceremony to remember every detail. Now I can look at the photos and see it all again. They even got sweet shots of just us sisters that I’ll cherish forever. The video is beyond words, it shows the way we laughed during speeches, the way the groom looked at her, just pure love. They were kind and respectful with everyone, even grandparents who didn’t move around much. Everything looks timeless, not trendy or fake. Truly priceless memories.
