We worked with Styles by Callie and Makeup by Sarah Lord for our August wedding, and they were absolutely wonderful. Sarah went above and beyond during my trial to talk through every detail of the look I wanted. We worked closely together to make sure I would look and feel my best on such an important day. On the wedding day, Sarah and her team provided makeup for a group of bridesmaids and two moms, and everyone received exactly the look they hoped for. Most importantly, our makeup lasted beautifully late into the night. I highly recommend Sarah — she’s incredibly sweet, attentive, and truly makes you feel your best!

We had all the details in the contract, but it wasn’t until we saw it , that we realized they went above and beyond to make this event very festive and unforgettable for everyone. Our guests were in awe of the venue, with all the decorations, the exceptionally prepared delicious food, and the impeccable service throughout the event. From the moment we entered the grounds to many vendor visits, all the way to the wedding day, we felt like we were at home at Pierce House. We were able to curate the space to our specific visions, and Jen was sooo helpful throughout the whole process. She also has the cutest bulldogs on the planet, and we were actually sad the next day picking up the remaining decorations because we wanted to keep working with her. You really don't have to do much to the space to make it beautiful, and with a Director as involved and as helpful as Jen, you'll have the most fairy tale wedding day. Just a pro tip for communication: Jen is the most responsive via phone, so text or call her to inquire about meetings, and she will be at your side whether you're planning for 6 months or 2 years.

We honestly could not have asked for a better wedding experience. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The Italian food was absolutely incredible, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our guests are still talking about how good the food was, especially the pasta and appetizers. The staff was outstanding: warm, attentive, and on top of every detail without ever feeling intrusive. They made us feel completely taken care of all day and night. Brunch the next morning was just as amazing , the mimosas were delicious and perfectly made, which was such a fun and relaxing way to wrap up the celebration with family and friends. The décor was stunning and brought the entire vision together effortlessly. Every space felt elegant, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. And the DJ? Absolutely amazing. The sound quality was crystal clear, the music flowed perfectly, and the dance floor was packed all night long. The Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill was an incredible venue for our wedding. From the moment we started working with them, Amy was so helpful, asking questions we would have never thought of to ensure we were happy all day and everything went smoothly, even down to what drink we wanted after finishing the ceremony. The space is gorgeous - the tent and mansion are amazingly beautiful, though it can get a bit hot in the suites in the summer with a lot of people for getting ready photos. We ended up bringing mini electric hand fans and they were a lifesaver. They had an attendant assigned to us throughout the night to make sure we were fed and hydrated, and it just made everything run so smoothly. The food (especially the appetizers) was so good! We could not have been happier with our experience at The Stevens Estate, and we highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a beautiful and well-run wedding location.

We loved working with Mothership for our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks! We hosted a rehearsal dinner for about 40 guests that led directly into welcome drinks for about 100 additional guests. People raved about the dinner buffet, bar snacks, delicious cocktails, and friendly waitstaff. The most common things I heard was how good the food was, and how funny and charismatic the servers were. It was so simple to book and pick our menus. 10/10 experience, everyone had such a great time in this flexible and fashionable space.

The Cambridge Boat Club was the perfect choice for our New England fall-themed wedding! It is an absolutely gorgeous location on the river with just the right amount of historic charm. We had originally considered going with all-inclusive venues, but ultimately opted for the flexibility we had with the CBC to craft our own vision. The venue features two distinct rooms, a larger room called the Drinkwater room, which can be used for the wedding dinner, the Club Room, which was used for cocktail hour and the dance floor, and a porch, which has a stunning view. The layout perfectly accommodated both the party enthusiasts and our more introverted guests, who preferred quieter spaces for rest and socialization away from the dance floor. Opting for this venue requires a more DIY approach compared to all-inclusive options. Since it is a historic building, there are some restrictions to be aware of, e.g. no sparklers or ceiling drapery, and existing wall decor generally need to stay on the wall. This was no issue for us since we had a clear vision for the wedding theme and decor, and enlisted the help of Tastings Catering (highly recommend, since they have previous experience working in this space and also handle some of the decor) and Designlight. Major shoutout to Katie Donnelly, the club manager at Cambridge Boat Club, who always responded in record time to all our inquiries and provided helpful guidance. With everyone's help, we were able to create the wedding of our dreams!

We got married 9.13.15 at Sky Meadow. We booked the venue more than a year in advance (we just wanted to get it out of the way) and Lynn was amazing to work with during that entire time. She was super responsive, very professional, and all around joy to work with. And when it came to day of, our venue coordinator, Josh, was instrumental to making sure the day ran smoothly. He kept us on track and was very accommodating to all of our requests. The entire staff was amazing to work with and we can't have asked for better help during our wedding. And as for food, 10000/10, everyone was raving about it! We did the plated dinner and chose Prime Rib, Crab Stuffed Haddock, and the Risotto. As for appetizers we did sushi, antipasto display, meatballs, bacon wrapped scallops, lobster sliders, and beef wellington bites. Everyone said how there was so much food they were stuffed even before dinner. The food is definitely plentiful and your guests will be happy at the quality and amount. We did consumption bar as well and the line was never too long, they turned them out quickly (especially since they walked around with our signatures). They even include a cake of your choice (we chose Chickadee Hill Bakery - absolutely delicious) as part of your package which was really nice. We wholeheartedly believe this venue is the venue to have your wedding at!

When searching for a venue, we were looking for an industrial aesthetic with the flexibility to use our own vendors, and Garage B checked all the boxes. We absolutely loved this space. It’s the perfect blank canvas for any occasion, and we appreciated the freedom to incorporate multiple unique vendors. For our wedding, we had a taco stand, an ice cream truck, a caricature artist, and a raw bar—all of which made for a memorable experience. What stood out most was the ability to blend Asian traditions with a modern twist, creating a day that truly reflected us. A unique feature of Garage B is the garage doors, which you can utilize creatively to enhance the event's flow and aesthetic. Jenna was wonderful to work with—she was highly responsive, supportive, and instrumental in bringing our vision to life. The only small challenge was our guest count. We were the first to host 200 guests in the space, which created an intimate and romantic atmosphere, but guests were seated quite close together. For future events, I would recommend a guest count closer to 150-180 for a bit more breathing room. Despite this, everything came together beautifully, and we had an incredible wedding day. Thank you to the team at Garage B for helping us create such a special event!

Juliet was the perfect venue for our small, intimate city wedding reception. From the moment we first reached out, their communication was prompt and detailed as we navigated the planning process. We had a couple of guests with some tricky food allergies and the team was very accommodating with lots of substitution suggestions. Also, they were flexible about dropping off and picking up items before and after the wedding, which was one less stressor for us. The venue itself is beautiful - high-end and intimate, with a level of quality that made our day feel really special and bespoke. Also, the wait staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the evening. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience, and we're so grateful to the Juliet team for helping to make our day perfect. Glen Magna was truly absolute perfection. We had our wedding in early August, and the flowers were magnificent! The grounds, the house, the tent, it was all just incredibly beautiful. The staff at Glen Magna were also incredible from everything leading up to the wedding to the wedding day. They were attentive, responsive, and made everything in my vision come true. The catering was also exceptional. People are still bringing up the food at our wedding. And, working with the caterers was an exceptional experience, too. The variety of options was amazing, and the food was actually delicious. Everyone thought so! If I could change anything about Glen Magna, it would be to do it all over again! The venue itself was absolutely gorgeous, with beautifully maintained grounds and a classy, elegant feel perfect for our fall wedding. Our experience with the DoubleTree hotel was great, and made even more so with the help of Giselle, the event manager. She used her in-depth experience with the space and other events she had helped organize to help us make the best use of the hotel, and on the day-of was there to help coordinate with our vendors. It’s impossible to fully express how wonderful PAGU is, both as a standalone restaurant and as a wedding venue. As Cambridge residents, we had eaten here with friends and family and knew the food, drinks, and service were excellent, and I hosted a work event with a partial buy out that everyone enjoyed, so it quickly came to the top of our list after we got engaged and were looking into wedding venues. From the very beginning, the staff, especially event manager Amanda, were so easy to work with, and they were very flexible to make the space, menu, and overall wedding very personal to us. After a cocktail hour with both passed apps and stations, we opted to have a buffet style wedding so we could accommodate a variety of palettes (our families are from different cultures: Chinese/Indonesian and German/Italian), everyone could find something they liked, and we could show off a seafood paella in a large format paella pan. They even offered a Thai pesto dish that is not standard on their menu! They were also extremely conscientious about guests with food allergies, clearly marking them on menus, and even going to specific guests (especially those with celiac disease) and providing separate non-cross contaminated dishes. They also managed the flow of tables and buffet line efficiently and flawlessly, which can’t be overlooked, as we’ve been to weddings where this wasn’t the case. Our guests all told us it was the best wedding food and cocktails they’ve ever had, and we were so excited to share one of our favorite restaurants with them. The space was perfect for our 110 person wedding. The outdoor patio was a nice space for a cocktail hour and provided a quiet place to hang out when the dance floor later opened. The main restaurant is much larger than it looks, so it manages to feel intimate while still fitting over 100 people without feeling cramped. We had the DJ upstairs in the mezzanine like a real DJ booth, which allowed him to have a great read on the dance floor and assure no one was sitting right in front of a speaker. Finally, they cleared the front two large tables for a dance floor that was plenty large enough for everyone to dance for over 2 hours. Finally, we were thrilled to use our wedding to support a local business that not only has a mission to serve excellent food and drinks (they’ve received James Beard Award nominations!), but also to build community. Chef/owner Tracy Chang founded several nonprofits during COVID to provide economic relief to restaurant workers and donate meals to hospital workers, and she and PAGU have been hosting roundtable events to start conversations about sustainability, culture, and community. We first heard of PAGU after my sister went to a roundtable event about using invasive green crabs in cooking! We knew hosting a wedding was going to be an investment, and while we would have been so happy choosing PAGU for our wedding for the myriad of reasons above, we felt especially great about putting our investment into a place that cares about the world and community around it. We could not recommend PAGU enough for your wedding!

The staff is courteous and professional, the food is excellent, and the space has been well-designed for these kinds of affairs. As live wedding entertainers, we've been to many wedding venues, and Groton Inn is one of our favorites. We can't wait to be back!

The Multicultural Arts Center was a beautiful venue for our wedding ceremony and reception! We had our ceremony outdoors in the courtyard just outside the building, and the staff helped us to get the permits to use the courtyard, helped to set up microphones for the ceremony, and also helped work with us on a backup plan to have the ceremony indoors in case it had rained on our wedding day. The courtyard is a charming spot with trellises and greenery and is surrounded by classic-looking New England buildings. Adria and Taylor on the staff were extremely helpful in helping us plan our reception: they answered our many questions and let us rehearse in the venue so that we could figure out how we wanted to lay out the space. The theater hall was an amazing place to have our reception: we especially loved the balcony and the design of the ceiling, and there was plenty of room for a little over 100 guests, buffet tables, a DJ, and a dance floor. The venue was also a really convenient location for our guests - it's close to the T and has several nearby hotels. Would highly recommend!

Robyn and her team at Catalyst are hands down the best!! I work in events and because of Robyn, I was able to actually take my planning hat off and really enjoy the weekend and be in the moment. The entire planning process and day-of felt seamless and absolutely perfect. They knew exactly what the area was missing and wanted to create a fun space with quality food, ice cream and a renovated greenhouse to hold private events and weddings to compliment their full service restaurant next door. Featuring several of their fan favorite items from next door, quality Italian Deli Sandwiches and Gifford’s Premium Ice Cream. Batifol was the perfect venue for our wedding of 100 guests. From the start, Desmond and Kelly were wonderful to work with - they were flexible, communicative, and receptive to our vision. The setup and layout of the space was ideal, and their team provided amazing and prompt service throughout the day. The food and drinks were delicious, and they were incredibly accommodating with the drop off and pick up of our decor, as well as very helpful with the setup. We were able to have our ceremony in their bakery space which worked out beautifully, then everyone flowed out onto the patio for cocktail hour, and then into the restaurant for dinner & reception—the setup was perfect and everyone raved about how great to atmosphere was. Batifol ensured our special day went off without a hitch, and we are so grateful for their hard work and hospitality.

Our daughter just celebrated her wedding this past weekend at the Kimpton Marlowe, and I can't imagine a more perfect experience! We visited quite a few venues that we loved, but once we found KM and Rachel, we knew we had found our place. I'm not sure where to begin! The planning process was never stressful thanks to Rachel's patience, professionalism and organizational skills. Our daughter lives out of state, and I can only imagine the insane amount of emails that flew back and forth between her and Rachel! She kept us all calm, and we were always confident that the day would be perfect because of her extraordinary efforts. The venue itself has everything a bridal party could want. It's in an accessible location for out of state visitors to explore Boston and Cambridge. The staff are all warm, friendly and eager to help with anything. The price is very reasonable; we had ruled out Boston/Cambridge because of our budget, but KM turned out to be right on target. There is convenient parking on site. We were offered a block of rooms in the hotel for an amazingly good price, so that our guests didn't have to worry about driving after a big party! The food was exceptional, from appetizers to dinner and even late night snacks of pizza, cookies and milk! The reception room was gorgeous and is very easy to work with because of the neutral colors. I think one of our favorite parts was that we had the entire second floor of the hotel to ourselves! The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and even a room for the bride to retreat when she needed to change was all included. The younger guests danced until the very end, and the "older" parents and guests found a quiet spot to hang out in the lobby area outside of the reception hall, filled with comfortable sofas, chairs and tables. All who attended were happy with the many choices to party, relax and mingle. In my opinion, KM and Rachel are a still a hidden gem in the greater Boston area. I hope this review helps to get the word out that they are the place to go if you are looking for an affordable option with fabulous spaces, delicious food and most of all, an event planner who puts her heart and soul into everything she does. Vanessa was so kind and open throughout our time engaging with this DIY venue. For around 3k, you have the entire venue from 8am Friday to 10pm Sunday, and can set it up to your hearts content. There is ceremony space both indoors and outdoors, space to put up a tent, and the great hall alone holds around 100 people seated, without crowding. Chairs and tables come included. The whole space was great for offering a variety of different spaces for our event: a room for eating and dancing, a room for the photobooth, a room for children's activities, a room for the memorial area, and a room for quiet relaxing--which my wedding party absolutely needed. I can't imagine having had a better experience at a more conventional full service venue--just make sure you have a team to help you with setup and shutdown and you're golden.

We had the most perfect wedding day at the Herb Lyceum. When we got engaged we knew we wanted a smaller, more intimate wedding and struggled to find a venue that welcomed smaller events. I came across The Herb Lyceum on Instagram and knew that this was the space for us. We held our wedding in the sunken garden, cocktail hour on the lawn and dinner in the greenhouse. The space was magical. They have a beautiful bar and cocktail hour set up. The greenhouse was exactly how we envisioned our day to look like. We received several comments that our wedding had the best food and cocktails of any wedding guests had been to. We are so grateful to the Herb Lyceum team for making our day so special.
