“You should ABSOLUTELY choose DJ Kelsey for your wedding — or any event, really. When my wife and I started searching for vendors, we approached every decision with a lot of thought and research. On the Get Down Tonight website, I watched all the DJs’ introduction videos. At first, I realized I had inadvertently skipped the female DJs, immediately corrected myself, and watched their videos. Both women were fantastic, but Kelsey instantly stood out. While many DJs covered the usual talking points, Kelsey was the only one who emphasized being detail-oriented — mastering the pronunciation of every name, paying attention to pacing, and understanding the many moving parts of a wedding. She’s all about creating an incredible dance floor vibe, but she also clearly understands the responsibility of running the flow of an entire event. The DJ truly sets the tone, and Kelsey takes that seriously. Our friends and family love to be silly and have fun on the dance floor, and Kelsey understood that energy immediately. She chose songs perfectly, and throughout the night people kept complimenting our DJ while we were still dancing. My response every time was, “I know — she just gets it!” Kelsey asked us to create playlists of must-plays and do-not-plays, but by our final planning call we fully trusted her judgment. If she felt a song would hit perfectly in the moment, we wanted her to go for it — and she did. The entire night was banger after banger, and the dance floor stayed packed. One moment that absolutely blew us away happened after my two brothers gave their speech. They told a childhood story involving a niche, repetitive song I used to sing, and even sang it as part of the speech. After speeches ended and dinner music resumed — surprise! — Kelsey had somehow found that exact song and played it at the perfect moment. Everyone cracked up, and we got so many compliments on her quick thinking. I had even suspected she might do it as my brothers were singing, and she didn’t disappoint. At the end of the night, Kelsey shared the sweetest comments with us about our wedding, saying how wonderful our guests were and how warmly everyone treated the vendors. The next day she sent us a short clip of our first dance, along with kind words that meant a lot — especially since I had choreographed it myself. In another guest’s video, you can even see her cheering for us along with our friends and family. Kelsey told us she felt like a guest at our wedding, and I honestly consider that one of the highest compliments she could have given us — because that’s exactly how present, genuine, and connected she was throughout the night. Going into our wedding day, I felt a sense of calm I never, ever thought I would be able to experience. I’m a person that struggles with anxiety, I feel overwhelmed, I overthink and worry about everything and I was convinced I would be beside myself with stress and anxiety on my wedding day but I was completely fine.. I was calm and was able to enjoy my preparation, spending time with my girls and just relax. That is 1000% thanks to Kaileigh. I knew everything was being handled and I trusted her judgement, abilities and knowledge and that it was going to be amazing… and I was right! Walking into this beautiful venue with all of our visions that came to life right in front of me took my breath away. It was GORGEOUS!! Throughout the night, Kaileigh continued to keep everything running smoothly. I needed her quite a few times for different things and she was never far and always ready for whatever it was. She even helped me out of my wedding dress and into a reception dress in tiny stall with barely enough room for one person, let alone two… which tells you the level of comfort one builds with a person like Kaileigh. It was like my sister or my best friend helping me out. She was everywhere all at once and never broke a sweat. We’ve gotten nothing but absolutely raving compliments on her from our friends and family that attended. “I learned of this place from a local source, and my husband and I were excited to get married at this gem in Barrington. Karen was responsive and lovely to work with, giving us contact information for vendors who had worked with the Barn before, and making sure that her sons moved tables and chairs around for us. Their existing furniture saved time and money, so it was super convenient. It is important to note that if you do choose this venue, there is no heating or cooling in the barn, and there is no existing bathroom; we got married in the middle of October and though it was chilly outdoors, the barn itself was fairly warm. We rented a bathroom trailer, which had a perfect spot just outside the venue and it wasn't a problem at all. Overall, the peach farm is a gorgeous place to get married!”

“Photographing a wedding reception at Victoria inn felt nothing short of a fairytale. The landscaping/flowers, chandeliers and twinkle lights were magical and made each photo feel complete. Staff were quick to check in on me and my fellow vendors to ask if we needed anything and also ensured us that we would eat a full-hot meal at our own table. This is sometimes rare in the wedding vendor community so it was very appreciated! That day in particular was a downpour with rain and wind. Staff at Victoria inn promptly moved tables and chairs out of the way and even went as far as moving my camera bag out of harms way as it was near an open window. The care and commitment to keeping guests and other vendors comfortable and happy was extraordinary and I would be so grateful to ever work a wedding there again!”

“I don’t know where to begin! I was hoping to find a photographer who was easy to be around, wouldn’t make us feel stiff and captured the true joys of the day. Jo is your person! She was incredible. We are avid hikers and mountain people and Jo didn’t bat an eye when I asked if she would come over to hike our favorite mountain for sunset/first look photos the Thursday before our wedding. They are the most special photos we have from our wedding and it truly was such an intimate time for us to share together before the big day (my husband, Jo and I all together!) and it made for such an easy transition to working with her on wedding day. Jo captured all the action, often pulling off crazy maneuvers or every laying on the dance floor to get the perfect shots. In the lead up to the wedding she was always available, happy to chat about ideas and really valued what was most important to us. She easily brought on an amazing second photographer as we got closer and picked someone who she truly thought would mesh well with us. I’m not someone who documents much with progressional photography, but I’m truly looking forward to more life events so I can give Jo a call.”
